Staged Readings of "The World Only Spins Forward"

Since February, I have had the great privilege of working with very talented writers and directors on crafting a script for The World Only Spins Forward, a play that delves into the modern history of addiction in the United States using comedy.

These months of writing for Bitter Woman have led me to explore lab rats, Nancy Reagan, sonnets, the spectrality and haunting of addiction, the business of rehab and the opportunity of recovery courts. This creative inquiry has been personally enlightening as someone with a vested interest in systems that support well-being.

To have my words treated with such tenderness by our team and read by talented professional actors in New York City has been such a surreal joy.
